The party will strive to achieve the following aims: To revolutionise the agrarian economy and prevent farmer suicides. To implement Singapore model to root out corruption from Punjab at all levels. To ensure severe punishment to the culprits of beadbi of Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji and those powerful politicians and police officers responsible for Behbal Kalan killings. We pledge to eradicate drugs on war footing. We will work towards youth resurgence and more employment avenues to build confidence in the young human resource of Punjab. We accept the challenge to improve government education and healthcare services, besides strict regulation over the private sector in these two most vital basic needs of the people.

 To ameliorate lot of weaker sections, backward classes and Dalits, who have been exploited as vote banks for long. To revive trade and industry. To fulfil the aspirations of employees and the pensioners. De-politicisation of police and civil machinery. And to restore the rule of law and order on the western model. To work towards clean and healthy environment. Decentralisation of powers to the grass root democracy as envisaged under the 73rd and 74th Panchayati Raj constitutional amendments of 1992. To redress NRI grievances and to introduce measures in order to make them partners in the inclusive development of Punjab.
 To strive for a federal structure in the country and to align with all those forces which are fighting for decentralisation of powers and more autonomy to the states. To continue our struggle against the wilful discrimination against Punjab by successive central governments with regard to the long pending legitimate demands of Punjab, be it river waters, transfer of Chandigarh to Punjab, territorial disputes and implementation of Punjabi language in letter and spirit. To ensure implementation of the above stated promises on the burning issues of Punjab, we will offer ourselves to transparent accountability by writing to the Election Commission of India, to treat our party manifesto a sacred legal document.

As the two major political formations in Punjab have failed to fulfil people’s aspirations, there is a dire need to hold aloft the banner of a new political outfit with a representative character, in order to address issues of concern to all Punjabis. It is noteworthy, that all other states in the country have strong regional parties which promote the interests of their respective states, Punjab has not been able to throw up a representative leadership to protect its interests. There is already a talk in the political corridors that a strong third front alone can turn the tables and oust the two formations which have belied people’s hopes and yet have been taking turns to hold the reins of power in the state. 

Hence, we have decided to float a new political outfit with a nomenclature Punjabi Ekta Party, which seeks to act as the watchdog of the state and meet the socio-political aspirations of our vibrant Punjabi community.

It will be secular in nature “Manas ki jaat sbhi ek hi pehchanbo” would be its watchword. The party will strive to work towards the well being of humanity at large “Sarbat Da Bhala”. The new outfit, with a Punjab centric approach will leave no stone unturned to defend the vital interests of Punjab, that have been compromised since partition. Therefore, we call upon all well wishers of Punjab, irrespective of caste, colour, creed or religion to rise above partisan and parochial politics and come forward to join the new regional party for a better future of Punjab.
