Sukhpal Singh Khaira, who resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) two days ago, announced a new political outfit today.
"The ''Punjabi Ekta Party'' will be Punjab-centric and a regional party," Mr Khaira said. Six rebel AAP legislators -- Kanwar Singh Sandhu, Jagdev Singh Kamalu, Jagtar Singh Hissowal, Pirmal Singh Khalsa, Master Baldev Singh and Nazar Singh Manshahia -- were present at the occasion.

Sukhpal Singh Khaira is an educated, dynamic and firebrand mass leader who is known for his bold stand on the burning issues of Punjab. Two time MLA Mr Khaira is known for his oratory skills both within and outside the Vidhan Sabha.
